The Hillendale Railway is a garden railroad inspired by a love affair with the Catskill Mountains. It is a proto-freelanced 1:22.5 scale layout set in the fictional Hillendale Mountains of New York around the turn of the 20th century, and modeled in real-life in northern New Jersey. This blog also covers my research into the historic Catskill railroads, the Hillendale's primary muse.
